Causeway to Cramond Island
Sunny dry cool morning for a cycle ride. Went to Cramond by the Roseburn path and Silverknowes. Enough West wind so that the ebike made the difference between it being a chore and a pleasure to ride.
The causeway is a footpath to the island at certain times of the tide. There were 30 - 40 geese in the outfall of the river; curlews calling and feeding, sandpipers piping, oystercatchers, ducks and gulls. Saw a heron further towards the city.
The day clouded over later on; there was a short walk around the town just before the evening rain arrived. Saw a skein of geese making for their roosting ground across the city ..
