Day 2 The view from our window

From our hotel in Kingston we can see the giant flagpole above Parliament House. The pole is 81m tall and the flag is the size of a double decker bus. In our view it is framed by the lights of Manuka Oval, which is one of the oldest sports venues in Canberra.

From some angles it does rather look as though a spaceship is visiting (extra).
