Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

Guess …

Where we went today? The answer is hidden in plain sight.

Yes, we went to try out Swedish sofas and we think we got a result. In fact I nearly fell asleep I was so comfy (ok it doesn’t take much, I have been known to fall asleep standing up, in meetings and on both take-off and landing when flying).

We also popped up the road to look at curries in fridges. Sorry, fridges in Currys. Easy mistake to make. We need a bigger fridge as we have a bigger household these days and it will get bigger still in January. Again we found something we liked.

Raiding savings accounts and placing orders to follow…

On our return it was tea and snooze time. Then I installed a new smart heater in our smart new bathroom. Wi-Fi enabled. You can lie in bed and say ”Alexa, turn on the bathroom heater" then go back to sleep and find you’ve created an en-suite sauna and are late for work (in TSM’s case; in my case late for going back to bed with tea and a book, such are the hardships we retired folk must endure).

Going back to IKEA - and let’s face it, who doesn’t? - like everyone else they have to run Halloween and Christmas stuff side by side before the summer is barely over.  But they do it quite nicely. This chap and his mate were part of a Halloween room complete with an octopus in a jar. Not seen that one before.

Finished reading ”Held". Very good. Deep and beautifully written and lots to think about. Not a book to fall asleep over, no matter how comfy your sofa …
