Sanderlings

On the beach at the Bay of Skaill, near Skara Brae. There were about 20. I took a walk that I haven't some for quite a long while- from Marwick to Bay of Skaill. Birds included- a merlin, c150 golden plover, turnstones, ringed plovers, etc. A few ravens about. Three were flying away and I did my excellent raven call. They turned back and circled above me. Usually it doesn't work.
