Marjorie's ramblings

Margret's roses

I was able to spend some time sorting out various things at home this morning. Most of the wool is in boxes. (My stash is too large, so I need to knit more!)

I had an email from Margret about an optician's appointment she wanted to cancel. The language sounded unlike her and it turned out that a nurse had sent the message. My attempts failed because she did not have an optician's appointment...........but it transpired that she did have an appointment with the ophthalmologist at the hospital.

Mark is still around today so I was able to tell him about letters that had arrived.

I went to town for a shop at Aldi. It is half term. Arghh!! I observed a number of parents attempt to keep their offspring under control while shopping.

The day passed by with different jobs. I went to Margret's to try to find the key for her garage. No success, although I now know where she has hidden it before travelling. I noticed a few roses left on the bush by her front door. They smell lovely, so I picked a few.

I have photographed them to show to Margret.

At the Hexham Photo Group tonight we heard Ian Jackson talk about his photography, illustrated with prints. I had not heard of him before and I love his work.
