Brightening a dull day
I made more progress with sorting out wool and filing some paperwork while Karyn cleaned the house.
My day was punctuated by the ping of my phone as messages flew in and out, mainly about Margret.
I spoke to her on the phone later. She has one of those hospital phones that are free for the patient to use, but cost a fortune if you phone in. I had been told that she would ring me back immediately but it was quickly apparent that she could not do this. She had the phone in her hand but could not find it.
Life is hard after a stroke like this one. We chatted for a few minutes. She had been in a chair for a short time but was glad to be back into bed to rest.
I found the garage key for the gardener on my visit to her house. She had hidden all the spare keys away while on her trip to Cambridge!
I picked the last roses in my own garden. They have no perfume but they look wonderful.
I am well on with knitting a romper suit. It seems that babies may still wear these!
