Life's Little Moments

Very Close

Amazingly, the robins are continuing to hang around our garden, eating berries and coming in a steady stream to the water features on the deck/patio.  I was out on the patio when this robin landed about 7 feet from me and proceeded to drink.  Not much of a crop on this - that's how close he was.  In fact, you can almost see my reflection in his eyes.  No complaints from me - I love seeing Robins.

I had a nice long FT chat with mom and dad this morning.  Mom is recovering well from her trigger thumb release surgery last week.  Stitches come out in about 10 more days but she says she is not experiencing any pain and the incision looks very healthy.  So that's good news.

After visiting with my parents, I met a friend for lunch. I've known Ellie for over 20 years, having met her when I had my business here in the County.  She eventually became our attorney for wills and trusts and over the years she and I have become personal friends.  So, we had a wide ranging conversation about dogs, books, politics, racism, and religion.

Jax has been napping most of the day - recovering from his weekend of being entertaining I think.  More good weather in the forecast this week so I plan to get out and enjoy it.

Dark, plain and delicious, today.
