Ferpecle Reflected Still Life …
… on my way to Joan’s in Arolla to deliver her calendars. Some of you will remember Joan who, at the age of 88, is my longest standing friend in Switzerland. We have known each other for 54 years! She did not want her photo taken today but wanted news of how it was up at Lac Bleu (extra) and Ferpecle (main) my favourite photography sites in the Arolla Valley. She told me that Lac Bleu has become such a honeypot area that portable toilets have to be flown in by helicopter to cope with the numbers of tourists in the summer months!
Today I was delighted to bump into another friend from 43 years ago, Lillian, with whom I went to the Himalayas in 1981! She had also gone up to Lac Bleu and we went together to Ferpecle afterwards. What a coincidence as I’d been talking about her with Josiane as we drove up towards Arolla with its view of the Aiguille de la Tza.
What a delightful day until I realised that I hadn’t enough charge on the electric car to get home so I had a bit of an epic finding a charger I could use. Then at home the internet was down, a general area problem so I shall blip when it comes back on.
