This is how badly behaved Portia is

Despite being provided with a scratching post, this is what she’s done to my sofa. There doesn’t seem to be any point buying another one, as she would do the same again, and I would be furious if it was a new one. I ordered a throw online, and hoped it would be as nice as it looked on the website.
It reminds me of the 70s when I would have an Indian cotton bedspread to cover up whatever ugly sofa was provided by the landlord. I think I’d rather have a cat than a smart house…..
After so many busy days I had a quiet one. I did a few phone admin things which was satisfying. One I’d been meaning to do for a while: I send a monthly direct debit to a few organisations. I rang to ask them to stop sending me any mail or e mails, for example, about the plight of refugees, as I find it too overwhelming I just want to send my tiny drop in the ocean without any communications. Pleased to find all were understanding, and they’re all set up to send only the items the supporter wants to get.
