Grapes
Today's the day ........................ to hear it for the grapevine
I blipped the grapevine back in July, when it was already doing very well and had produced loads of bunches of (at that point) not very big grapes. At that point, I was seriously doubting the wisdom of doing such a thing, in a summer that was far from perfect. I wondered if it knew something that we didn't?!
Well obviously it did. It knew that we would have a long lingering autumn with, for us, quite mild weather - so that it has been able to carry on growing and the grapes have become large and lusciously sweet. They are still full of pips - but hey, it would be churlish to complain about that. We're still not sure what to do with them all. Perhaps a bit of juicing and certainly giving them away to friends.
But we're more than a little proud of our abundant harvest ...................!
