View From A Hill
It was a struggle getting up this morning, but I made it and we set off for the bus together. We were well along the road then TT realised he had left his phone at home. I occasionally do that, have a momentary panic and carry on to get the bus, and live without my phone for the day. TT however needed his phone, so he had to go back home and get a later bus.
Work was quite overwhelming. As ever I have come back to so many emails, on top of that catching up – which I didn’t get through - there were a couple of tricky meetings, both of which were quite stressy. I had a wee wander at lunchtime to clear my head after all of that, and bumped into R (BB’s girlfriend) on my way back to the office. She was on her way back to University. The afternoon wasn’t so stressful, though I have a load of paperwork that needs some attention – maybe tomorrow.
The bus home was absolutely packed. Trains were cancelled, so everyone who would normally have taken the train to Dunbar was piling on the bus. Nightmare. I was very lucky to get on, and then I was even more lucky to get a seat a few stops along the road, when someone got off. I was glad to get home. I was on tea, which was nice and easy. Later TT Facetimed his mum and I went for walk in the dark. It has been incredibly mild today, and was still very mild this evening.
I walked over Calton Hill at lunchtime, so another view from the hill.
