running through sunshine...

...is what the growing wood duck ducklings were doing

finally seeing them on dry land - versus in the water - something i've been waiting for - counting the days for - since they were born... what an absolute treat - seeing them rock back and forth - on webbed feet - tweeting to each other in rapid conversation about whatever it is that ducks converse about - a darling and joyous experience - chasing after them - telling them they were safe with me - being rewarded when they'd stop to stare into the camera lens...

wood ducks clearly have very different personalities - than the standard mallards i'm used to interacting with - but they are just as precious - adorable and gorgeous - i love the blue tip showing up on their wings - it all combined into the makings of...
