Anyone for Pheasant?

On the way back from 'our' beach we came across a whole bunch of young pheasant chicks, who we chased, not deliberately, or with malice, they were just on the same path as we were and could have escaped easily by using their wings but they are so stupid that they ran in front of us for several hundred yards before running into the sides of the path. Still it kept us stupidly amused for ten minutes or so.
