My Heart Dog
The day is getting short and the light will soon be gone and me without a photo yet! Luckily, Jax was very happy to stand in for my photo today. The leaves on the trees in our woods are about 3/4 gone and the ground is covered in their muted colors, giving a certain brindle dog the perfect camouflage. Honestly, if he is standing hear the edge of the woods, you can look right at him and not see him.
I had a strength/balance/pilates class today - Peg joined me on the "virtual mat" for a very good session. Then some errands, lunch, and a nap. Wasn't planning on the nap, but my body was wanting it, so who am I to resist.
And, fun news, I am photographing another dog event this weekend! The friend that I had lunch with yesterday has two championship dogs that are competing in a Rally Trial this Sunday and they don't have a photographer so I have been invited to be their official photographer. This event is being held indoors which will present a whole new set of challenges for me, but I'm looking forward to it. I've set up a time to meet with the organizer at the venue on Thursday so I can get the lay of the land and figure out where I can position myself to get the best shots while not being in the way. And then I will have a few days to stress about what lenses I need. Haha.
One week until Election Day here in the US. And it appears to still be a dead heat, even after the extremely racist and hateful rhetoric on display last Sunday at Madison Square Garden. One of his "handlers" was quoted as saying that it was "just jokes"... I thought we'd moved past the time when it was okay to make "jokes" like that. Very sad.
I think I may indulge in some dark with sea salt.
