Fffffffoxy!
Fred the urban fox is totally delighted that his great-great-great grandparents Red and Molly decided to leave their rural Wicklow in 1982 and went on a perilous voyage over the Dublin mountains to settle in suburban Rathfarnham. They happily lived the rest of their years in the thick hedge next to a green on a council estate where the bins were collected only once a week and were loosely secured.
Fred's own grandfather was the most adventurous, who broke away from the Rathfarnham tradition to cross the M50 motorway in 2009 to come and settle in Dun Laoghaire. He met a cute vixen who was born on the grounds of Blackrock College and together they made their home on the outskirt of the Dun Laoghaire golf course.
They were initially upset when it was sold to property developers and there were a few years of noise and heavy machinery traffic and constant relocation as the building progressed.
It was just about complete when Fred's mother was born and she soon met a cheeky fox from Sallynoggin.
There is no shortage of bins to loot in the upmarket housing estate that is Honeypark, with posh leftovers of organic Wicklow lamb or free range chicken bones. It's just the fucken quinoa and pomegranate salad that they cannot stand...
