The joy of autumn
(provided the leaves are dry of course!)
Annette brought Isaac and Owen to see me today. She and I needed a good catch up. The boys played in the Humshaugh playing field. The equipment there is excellent.
I was hoping to capture someone playing with fallen leaves. Here is Isaac, having a great time.
The boys were keen to come to my house too. (I love it when children want to come.)
We had the track out, but Isaac enjoyed building different shapes with some plastic pieces I've had for years. Then he found a pink mouse, which had to be trapped in the "house" he had built, then help him build a new house, and so on.
Owen was happy with the cars and the track.
This afternoon, Ray and Judith from the walking group came. Ray has had a nasty vitreous haemorrhage and a torn retina. He is not allowed to exert himself too much. We drank tea and chatted. It was just lovely.
I spoke to Margret who sounded much more with it. Her brother, Frank had been in contact with me, very keen to speak to Margret before leaving for India at the end of the week. Chloe (granddaughter) was with Margret, so she dialled Frank's number on Margret's mobile ("it will cost a lot" said Margret!)
I thought it was worth the money to put these elderly twins in touch with each other again.
The professor of stroke medicine (is there such a thing?) came with students to see Margret. He said that her bleed was small and she should make a full recovery. Great news.
