Brentford 1 Sheffield Wednesday 1

Another of my spontaneous football trips as I resumed my quest to visit all current 92 Premier League and Football League grounds.

I only decided to come down to Brentford on Sunday as I thought there would be a good chance of getting a ticket for the Carabao Cup  tie against Sheffield Wednesday. I had been to the old Griffin Park ground in 1980 but this was my first visit to the new ground.

This leaves me with seven grounds to go. It sound impressive but I did start this quest back in 1968 when I visited Preston which was my first of the current 92. One of the reasons I have never finished is that many clubs have moved grounds and I have actually seen 6 of the last 7 play at home but not at their new stadiums.

It was an entertaining game but Brentford should have been out of sight by half time. In the end it went to penalties which Brentford won 5-4
