I can't imagine these gondolas are to enable people to see the railway bridge construction site currently dividing Oxford, but at least the pigeons have a good view from their perch of the lack of progress.

I was nearby in an Eritrean coffee-shop/restaurant catching up with an ex-colleague. We have photography in common. I planted a seed.

Later in the day, after I'd flung some more forkfuls of soil down the garden, I met with another ex-colleague who is Eritrean (but not in the Eritrean coffee-shop).
