Autumn colours
Another grey day. I shouldn't complain as it is very mild, and it's is not wet and muddy. But grey is just so boring!
I had my usual weekly group golf lesson today, still working on drivers and my swing was tweaked a bit today. With all the technology available today it is so useful to be able to work towards a specific goal, like speed of ball or loft of ball when driving off a tee. A colleague from Gavin's office has started having lessons with my coach on the weekend on my recommendation, and she is very impressed with him. He is very good which makes me nervous that he may move on one day to better offers.
Gavin and I spent time booking flights for a trip taking place in September 2025 that was booked in May 2023! These trips are booked so long in advance that you almost forget you still have to book the flight when the airline schedules become available. We very much wanted to rather fly with Emirates of Qatar but realised we have to fly with awful British Airways again because their flight times are so much better from London. Flying via the Middle East entails arriving there at some ungodly hour like midnight or 1am and then waiting 2 hours for your onward connection to your destination, so that doesn't allow for any sleep.
I watched First They Killed My Father last night which was very good albeit harrowing, and then started watching The Killing Fields and remembered much of it as I then realised that I have seen it before - tonight will definitely be something light like GBBO!
Tommy is enjoying Munich so far, his colleagues seem very friendly and social which is great for him.
