Running on the water

Quite a lot of activity on the Heritage Park loch this morning. The resident pair of swans were trying to chase off another pair of swans that had dared to invade their territory. Eventually the incomers took to the air but I'm sure they will try their luck again.

Peace was restored and then there was the unmistakable noise of flapping wings and there on the far side of the loch the only juvenile swan was practising his flying skills. His running on water was great but still some lessons needed before he finally takes to the air.
