Remembering

This afternoon, I had my Covid and ‘flu vaccinations. All very quick and efficient and apart from a sore arm (on the ‘flu side), I’m feeling fine four hours later. Hopefully I’ll stay that way, as I am going away tomorrow morning:-)

I went for a walk afterwards, around the beautiful Crichton gardens and Castledykes Park. Tucked away in the park is the Covid Memorial Garden. Some people would rather forget those times; it still upsets me to remember Sarah’s daily phone calls from ICU and not being able to see my parents for 16 months. Many people’s mental health suffered during lockdown, too. I hope we did learn something, though, about what was important.
