Walking on Clouds

I'm overwhelmed by all the kind messages I've gotten for my 4500th Blip. I  was moved by so many thoughtful responses and will get to answering all of them in the next few days. As everybody agrees, this is a very special place and I feel very honored to be a part of it.

On a more mundane note, a different dishwasher guy came today and declared ours dead. Something about the memory card....It's been so long since I have shopped for appliances that half the manufacturers have either merged with another company or gone out of business. I called my friend Cindy for her advice and counsel. She is not only a realtor, but she and her husband have a side hussle flipping houses with the two guys across the street who own a big furniture store in town, so I figured she would know her appliances.

As luck would have it, she is in the process of replacing all her appliances
(she does things like this on a regular basis) and offered us her current dishwasher which is only 4 years old.)  It's an offer I wouldn't refuse if we can get somebody to bring hers up here and install it, and somebody else to take ours away.

And one we don't have much time for as the pest control people are coming for their monthly rat inspection tomorrow morning, followed by back to back eye appointments across town. I then have 45 minutes to get John home and drive back across town for a consultation with the wunderkind dermatologist.

First world problems for sure...It won't be much of a hardship to wash our dishes by hand.
