Another glorious autumn day. I took the opportunity to turn over my compost bins, dig out the previous leaf mould and gather up the tonne of new leaves which have gathered round about.

With my sweat on, I then started pulling out dead and annoying plants.

Afterwards I sat with a brew and looked at what has been a hard year for the garden. This image is dull for most of you, but it charts my progress with what is only a 2nd season garden. I'm pretty pleased with it.... but there is always an improvement of two needed.
