Oh no!
The wind yesterday was too much for the birch on the yard. I have been worried about its condition before, as branches have been dropping off in recent years, and a couple of weeks ago I noticed that one of three tree trunks is cracked and slightly tilted towards the field. Now the tilt is more than slight, but it didn't fall down yet.
I cut a few branches off the maple behind it to save them from tearing and causing more damage, but there's not much you can do now. I wish the ploughed field surface will freeze before the birch falls down, but we'll see. What worries me most though is how long the other two tree trunks survive. I suppose I should do something about them soon.
Weather forecasts for tomorrow have varied. Now it looks like we'll get about 15 millimetres of rain or 15 centimetres of snow, but which, remains to be seen.
Backblipped three previous days.
