Right Time - Right Place
The family of Florence Hopewell Jackson contacted the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to find out if her headstone was clean and tidy. The message percolated down through the system to me, Paddy and I set off with my bag of tricks to the cemetery.
Scrubbed with fresh water and the grass trimmed around the base it was photographed and the photo passed up, all happy.
Monthly pedicure in the afternoon, relaxing and therapeutic as always before actually completing a shift on the Poppy Stall.
People’s generosity, even when they don’t have much themselves, never ceases to amaze me.
