Music at the Royal Festival Hall

The Royal Festival Hall organ (inaugural concert 1954) was beautifully-lit tonight and made a marvellous backdrop for a concert by the Philharmonia Orchestra. The organ takes the length of the stage and is always on view (this image shows only the centre section). Although The RFH was opened in 1951, its interior still looks modern as you can see in the extras.
