Happy Halloween

A mild evening for the trick or treaters tonight. I have not heard anyone near my door tonight. Other years kids have come to the door despite me not leaving any lights on. I did put a note out tonight not to ring the doorbell. When ever the doorbell rings it scares the cats. And I don't want to take the chance that one of the cats could escape if I am opening the door several times.

We did some fall garden cleanups this morning, then finished the mulch at the job that we started yesterday. The customer is really happy with the way things look.

I had an email today from the place where we spent 3 days a couple of weeks ago. We went over on Tuesday with some extra gravel to cover some of the dirt that showed thru after the soil was cleaned off it. They were pleased that I did that. I asked her if she could write a Google review, and she did, she posted a really nice one. I have to remember to ask more people to write a review for me.

I finally got to see this witch hazel blooming in a customers garden today. The shrub was there when I started working there  several years ago but I have never seen it bloom. Perhaps I did the fall cleanup earlier than I am doing them this year, so I would have been there before it started blooming.
