By George!
I think I've got it!
Two goes throwing on the wheel tonight. Two perfectly centred pieces .... that's never happened before. More importantly, having adjusted how I go about it, I could feel the difference as I worked which gave me confidence as I worked. A little advice from a fellow potter helped me fashion the bowl from a cylinder that I had pulled. Onwards and upwards from here :-)
In other news. My much heralded break from work started with a ping on my phone this morning .... asking if I could help out tonight as they were unexpectedly short handed! As I had committed to being at pottery this evening to help support those of the new intake who turned up, I could only work for a couple of hours. The railway run Steam and Scream events around Halloween, a meal at Kings then a ride in the dark with assorted lineside horrors along the way. It's a popular special event. I had a two hour workout at the kitchen sink tonight, as good as a trip to the gym and I get paid for it!
After the rude awakening, I had a gentle day until work at 5pm. A very slow start, a walk with C and the Megs, lovely Lancashire cheese on toast for lunch (thanks to blipper Lovetrees for sending the cheese) .... and a restorative snooze before work.
