I voted! And Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween.
I voted. They were cycling people through efficiently so everything moved quickly. Karen voted earlier just in case it was too busy when I was able to go. This was the last day we could vote early. Ordinarily it is not a lot of trouble to vote on Election Day but we’re having meetings on Election Day and if things don’t work properly it could take hours in line.
We are having meetings in DC next week and one of the concerns quietly expressed is what we do if there is violence. Did we need a backup location? I said if there is violence we should stay home.
A couple of elections ago we all heard about the lines for early voting that were hours long, so everyone in Maryland went and voted early. I stood in line for two hours. Then on Election Day, because we’d all voted already, there were no lines.
HA!
I know the leaves won’t last forever but I’m glad we still have color now. I’m very grateful to have been able to see them at peak.
Well we threatened North Korea. Maybe we didn’t. Again with news bias and news slant. One article had a headline saying we threatened North Korea. Another article just said we gave a blunt warning. Deputy Ambassador Robert Wood told the UN Security Council that if North Korean troops “enter Ukraine in supported of Russia, they will leave in body bags.” In another quote, the same quote, he supposedly said “will surely return in body bags”.
Croatia aims to supply Ukraine with 30 M-84 tanks and 30 M-80 infantry fighting vehicles in exchange for 50 new Leopard 2A8 tanks from Germany. It will also supply Kyiv with spare parts and ammunition.
