Christmas cactus flower

Halloween is a bit like Christmas in that once it's over, it's over. So from the sublime to the ridiculous here is a Christmas cactus flower from the plant that I bought at the choir's Come and Sing event in January. I'm so pleased to see it flowering. Its Latin name is Schumbergera, possibly followed by truncata.

I had difficulty setting things up. It's not easy to carry or manoeuvre heavy things while walking with one crutch and in the end, I had to get Len to come and help me. I do feel that I should be able to manage on my own and I can already see how I shall want to re-take this.

The marvellous thing is that I've been able to photograph a flower.
