I’d taken all my stock up to church and set up my stall, then I went home and made eight more packs of Christmas cards and six birthday cards! I’m always the same every year, worrying in case I haven’t got enough stock, but you can be sure that, whatever stock I do have, I will always be asked for something I haven’t got. ("Do you have a 90th birthday card for a man?" or "Have you any ‘Congratulations on your new hamster’ cards?").
So now I’ve given myself permission to stop and relax for the rest of the evening, and I’m looking forward to the pasta dish that Smithers is currently preparing in the kitchen. I may well go and have a little play on the piano now, to take my mind off it all.
I’ve spent so much time in the craft room over the past few days that it seems only fitting to use a photo of it for my blip today. It’s not an original shot, but it struck me that there are quite a lot of items on these shelves that are no longer much used. The ribbons definitely are, but rubber stamps and ink pads are so yesterday. Most of my cards are mainly printed from digital artwork collections I’ve bought and from which I’ve created my own designs. Sometimes I add embellishments too, to give them more of a hand made look.
Big day tomorrow. Early night beckons.
