List

Today, for once, I wrote myself a "to do" list of 10 things to complete after I'd given Django a decent walk first thing. In the end I managed five of them. I've been emailed to say that my "National Entitlement Card" has been issued, but I can't apply for my "Saltire Card" - that gives me free bus/coach travel across Scotland (from Wednesday) - until I've received the physical NEC card. For a "very dear" academic acquaintance, I got around to revising a brief article about our summer workshop to provide copy for a December newsletter: he was effusive as ever in his reaction! More technically, one thing was ticked off because I couldn't see what was wrong with my local installation of our documentation system, and then I got stuck into a couple of meatier items. Being me, this led to me working on something that wasn't on the original to-do list, and then starting (but not finishing) something that was on it! 

I cooked for us this evening, and we both unwound over a beer and some wine and our phones which in my case, constituted some fine Turf banter.
