Park fun

After my long day travelling yesterday, I slept well, and made a slow start to the day.

Once we were all dressed, breakfasted, etc etc, we all went to the park for the boys to use some of their excess energy.  They had fun in the playground - here showing off (along with their mum) at the top of the climbing frame.

The park also provided lots of grass for kicking a football, some surfaced areas for playing with the basketball, skateboard ramps for monster trucks to speed down, and a multitude of grey squirrels. 

After lunch, we "relaxed" for a while, at least I did.  The boys were taking target practice with a foam dart gun and a catapult.

Leaving the boys with their paternal grandparents, R and G accompanied me to Birmingham.  They were going to have a date night - dinner and then an escape room.  I boarded a train to London, and am now in a hotel that may or may not host bed bugs as well as paying guests - I guess I'll know in the morning!
