A great day of fluting
No bed bug bites. A reasonable night's sleep. A hot, but rather underpowered shower. Breakfast in a local cafe - lovely.
And then we all convened for a day making flute music. Much ensemble work, but interspersed with performance. Top left in the collage were two friends who enjoy duetting together, and played for us.
At the end of the day, the tutors put on a small performance - including (bottom right) a world première performance by Janna, of a piece by Amanda Jane Fox - who played the piano part with huge enthusiasm.
Then we packed away all the flutes, and a dozen of us went to a local pub for a lovely meal.
More tomorrow.
