Night four of “Made in Dagenham” and I took advantage of a full cast and crew photo being taken after the show, to ask someone to grab a photo of me in my “onstage” garb. Which is basically my backstage “blacks” with the addition of a garish tie and a suede jacket!
But it all fits with my character who is described as a “sleazy reporter” - hence the dodgy moustache and sideburns. In fact, until I saw this photo, I didn’t realise how dodgy I actually looked! I do find it slightly worrying though that, when they were looking for someone to play the part, my name was suggested by three different people! Hopefully it was because they had heard what a brilliant character actor I am!
It’s all been very enjoyable and tomorrow nights final performance will be bitter sweet. Sadness that I won’t get to do the show again with such a great bunch of people, tinged with relief that I might actually be able to have a bit of a rest now before Panto in January.
Or maybe not…
