Good Friends..

.."light a candle whenever they're around....and old friends keep it burning; they never let you down"...as the song says...

And so they do!

Today three of my good AND old friends brought lunch and lot of laughter to my house. We've been friends for over 50 years; we met while teaching and working at the same high school back in the days of our early careers.... 

And here we are today...having been through the ups and downs of life together... through "times of joy and times of sorrow"..(to quote another song lyric..songs often say it so well! ) 

These three certainly brought a lot of light into my day! It was so much fun and a wonderful reminder of how special our friends are and how they're there when you really need them
