A bad hair day
Light drizzle to start the day but it cleared up for us to walk around the wood, which isn’t too bad underfoot now the path is covered in leaves.
This afternoon I’ve planted a few bulbs in pots, and as usual not labelled them, which will confuse me when they start sprouting, but never mind.
I also lifted one of the fuchsias from a pot by the front gate and found a huge shiny conker, which is now in the greenhouse. There’s going to be a very disappointed squirrel.
This male woodpecker isn’t particularly nervous, and I suspect, looking at its coat, that it’s a youngster. I hope it continues to be unafraid of having a camera pointed at him.
