A walk in the woods
We set off this morning in drizzle, had about 15 minutes of warm sunshine (yikes) and ended our walk with the normal blanket of cloud which stayed for the rest of the day.
I went down to Tenterden for the KESR’ s 53rd AGM where we were informed that the railway’s finances were better than expected although still a loss. We learned of the plans to extend from Bodiam to Robertsbridge over the next 3 years: https://www.rvr.org.uk/
We also had an earnest appeal from the general manager to redouble our efforts to support the railway, especially for the Santa Specials.
There’s a gap between the feel good messages and exhortations from the GM and the reality on the ground where fewer people are taking on more work. It’s like the elephant in the room!
Enough of that. We’re booted and suited and the evening is about to begin. Hope you have a good one too.
Pleased you liked the firework blip yesterday. There’s a tension I know between these events and the effects on pets as well as wildlife.
