Culture time
Joyce and I went into town this morning. I'd booked us lunch at the Cafe at the National Galleries. Joyce hadn't seen the new Scottish Gallery so we started there. There are so many wonderful things there. My main blip is a Phoebe Traquair embroidery. It's part of the series of the Progress of the Soul. This is the final panel, "Victory ". It's hard to believe it is stitched by hand.
When we got home Katy and Isobel dropped in to see Joyce. Isobel had a dance competition in Musselburgh this afternoon which ran from 4.00 till 9.300 pm.
I dropped Joyce at Murrayfield in plenty of time to get to the ground in daylight then went home for a quiet evening as Colin is through in Glasgow. I spent the first part of the evening writing the intercessions for tomorrow then put my feet up and watched tv. I came across the tribute to Janey Godley and found it quite enthralling. What a woman, 63 is too young to die.
Isobel and Katy phoned with the good news that the dance group had won both of their classes and so would be going forward to the championships in Blackpool in February. They were there last year too.
