Flatiron Building

I was disappointed to find the Flatiron Building covered in scaffolding and netting, and even more that an enormous shadow was falling on it. I remember being enchanted by Alfred Stieglitz's photos of it and wished I'd researched his approach before venturing out this morning. What he did was to move more to the right and let its other face show, wait till the arvo and let that face be in light and the face I took be in shadow. He might have had a few goes at it too. I might yet get another one.

Today we went on a foodie tour in Greenwich Village. We started at a Cuban restaurant with two different empanadas and black beans, then on to a pizza restaurant for a margherita and an artichoke - new one for me, then to a tea and spice house and finally to another Italian restaurant for home made pasta, bolognese sauce and a tiramisu. All fab.
