King of the castle

This is Cawdor Castle, 'the most romantic castle in the Highlands'. It is situated 10 miles from Inverness amongst beautiful gardens in the parish of Cawdor.
We spent a lovely morning with CawdorChronicles,blip friends, and found out all about the interesting and homely castle with wonderful snippets of information and stories.I swear that when I looked at this picture something moved in the bottom window lol.

We had fun running to avoid getting wet by the sprinklers. It must be a hard job to keep all the plants going in the heat. It stayed warm and sunny all day. We sat and had tea and yummy cake in Cawdorchronicles garden, a tour of the church and then lunch at Darcy's,a nice tea room set back from the road.
