Encapsulating Leith
In the absence of Pie Dolly at the market (apparently she's moving house), our Saturday morning walk lacked an obvious destination. We did actually walk past the market, but after we'd gone down to Ocean Terminal via the bend in the river, to collect Mr A's prescription. Then it was along Ocean drive, taking in a view of the ongoing demolition of the car park and Debenhams at the back, up past the Scottish Government and into the supermarket, before heading home along the Water of Leith via the Lind and Lime shop to source a bottle of craft gin.
I spent a fair bit of the afternoon (and indeed the morning) doing some work, before settling down to read a book during the evening, whilst making dinner. It was a suitably relaxing and much needed Saturday.
Those with sharp eyes might notice that there is a trolley in the river beyond the nicely painted steps. That to my mind is Leith encapsulated.
