Platform

As all my blip followers know, we've been closely following the building of the Platform build to rent development across the way. Today, we were entertained by the delivery and installation of a piece of concrete "art", which explains the hole in the wall opposite. It was used to install some steel girders, which retain the twenty tons of concrete, which appear to be just resting on the floor (we didn't see anyone put retaining bolts in, but of course they might have done when we were out).

The collage is a mixture of photos taken through the bedroom window and photos taken from ground level when we went out for a potter, which concluded with a visit to the supermarket. It was all quite entertaining, involving a large mobile crane, a cherry picker and a large forklift truck.

It does seem likely that people will be moving in within a matter of days, or perhaps weeks. Unless you qualify for the "intermediate market rent", it's going to be pretty pricey.

Other than that, and walking down to Victoria Bridge and back home via Constitution Street and the supermarket, it's been another quiet day. I did a peloton workout this afternoon, and some work interspersed. Back to reading my book this evening.
