What a difference a pillow makes. I bought a new one from one of those vast Chinese supermarkets that have everything, and I’m waking up less cricked as a result.

Also, what a difference a public holiday makes. Today is Nyerere Day in Tanzania, during which the country honours the life and legacy of Julius Nyerere, the founder of the nation. My friend Aaron is still in Dar es Salaam so we walked on Coco Beach at under and then ate Mexican food.

When I went home the bajaj driver was whistling the tune of Chiquitita. He deserved a tip for that.
