Hiding

Under the pillow is Bella with a thick folded blanket wrapped round her ears and head three times to try to block out the sound of the fireworks. We have the telly on full volume and in the boat bedroom I have the iPad playing music for dogs. She hides in the bedroom.
Some of the fireworks are like bombs going off.
Last night they went on till 11pm and tonight they probably will too. It’s horrible to see her so scared.

Frank went to The Boat House to play music with the other musicians. He said it was a nice quiet session. If I’d known that I would have gone to but I didn’t bring my ukulele.
Anyway, I enjoyed a couple of hours on my own and phoned my cousin Mary and had a video call with my brother Tony.
The weather has been dull, dry but not too cold.
We had chips and mushy peas from Bizzie Lizzie’s for tea.
