A Day In The Life

Sun•day

A brisk and beautiful day on this first Sunday of November. I discovered one of our pumpkins upside down on the wall with a baseball-sized hole chewed into it. A large portion of the inside had been cleaned out. I’m guessing squirrels and not deer, but soon I’ll break open all of our pumpkins for all the critters to sample • Our Christmas cactus is loaded with buds, with the first flower opening today. It’s got to be a hopeful sign, right? We can’t get Tuesday’s election out of our minds, anxious for any signal, large or small, that Harris will become our President. She Must! • Here’s Newt, our once feral kitty. She spent her first four years outdoors enduring cold and snowy winters, escaping fox and other predators. That was six years ago, now look at her. She’s happy, well fed, her pads are smooth, and her fur silky and shiny. Life is good :) • Peace & Love
