Goodbye, Italy
Well most of it anyway. We’ve decided to go thru old travel photo books just one at a time and throw out all but a handful. Save our children from the task, although there are a few for them too. Back with real film, in 1992.,H was there for his 52nd birthday.
Rome,, Amalfi Coast, , Pompeii, Paestrum, Firenze, Tuscany and a bit of Venice much of it with another couple. I think a month. Good friend Rita died many years ago. I miss her. Cold and Rainy, we almost froze in our Tuscan Farmhouse. The photos I kept are on the left..probably too many, but the photo books (vol 1 and vol 2....) 5 inch stack of those old sticky pages (Ill bet some of you have these) are in the dumpster. We did have fun looking at them, all our favorite places, and remembering trying to find firewood amid the grapes and all that wonderful art.(which I used for this and that) … with the Seahawks on the TV. So now, should I digitize them or just stick them in an envelope.?
Almost cheated (again) and blipped a photo H took with his phone of the last rowing regatta this year. I couldn’t get there with my camera….and it was too far from our condo window too. But worthy of an extra. Nice day for it. Miss those days....sort of.
