Carolina Wren Takes My Bike for a Spin!

It was morning and we'd had our first really HARD frost of the fall season. Every leaf was covered in crystals that sparkled when the first light arrived. It was something to see.

And then I noticed a flutter, and looked over toward the garage to discover the Carolina wren sitting on my bike seat, apparently ready to take it out for a spin! (They're so cute, like flying teddy bears.) Camera in hands, I snapped off three quick shots.

So of course, then I had to go out and take my bike for a little ride myself. Yes, I wore a jacket and gloves. It was chilly. But on this frosty, cold morning, I will not be BESTED and SHOWN UP by a fuzzy little bird!  :-)
