Everyday Life

Coming Down

Today has been quite productive. This morning we started clearing and tidying my yoga room ready for use. I sorted out books, putting some on the shelves in the room and rearranging to others to fit on the landing bookshelves. There were more to go into the boxes for charity too.

I found some books I'd forgotten I had, along with £80 of birthday money in an envelope tucked inside one of the books! It was all old £20 notes so I'll have to pay it into the bank.

After lunch we took as many of the books as we could carry to the Oxfam charity bookshop in town. I resisted the urge to bring more books home with me.

The improvements to the Sincil Street area of town are continuing. The old car-park, built in 1978, is being demolished (Blip) along with the nearby shops that replaced the old large Co-op at around the same time. The gentrification of Lincoln continues.
