Jetty
With the grey calm weather, I thought I'd try my arm at a long exposure fine art thing. So off to Seascale on Saturday for high tide.
No sooner had I got setup, 3 lads turned up with their fishing rods! I ended up coaching them fishing and abandoning attempts at fine art.
Returning on Sunday an hour before high tide (which was better anyway) I spread my stuff across the jetty and secured the perimeter :-)
The formula for this shot was setup at 1/30sec with ISO/aperture to expose correctly and sort focus point.. Then add 10stop filter and move shutter to 30secs.
Couple of test shots and then up 2 stops on aperture and shutter. Settling on 2mins.
Lots of height changes on the tripod, this one appeared the best when I got them on the PC. Edited to try to fade the horizon, this was about the best I could manage, did consider mono but I liked this complimentary brown/blue image.
